Travis is survived by his father, Michael, his mother, Joanne, and a loving family who cherished him deeply. His passing has created a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his vibrant personality and unique spirit will not soon be forgotten.
Growing up in Bridgewater, Travis was actively involved in community life from an early age. He participated in baseball, soccer, and paintball, developing friendships that lasted throughout his life. His passion for paintball became especially significant, as he not only played competitively at various levels but also devoted time to coaching and mentoring others who shared his enthusiasm for the sport.
Outside of athletics, Travis found joy in the outdoors. He loved camping and fishing, embracing every opportunity to spend time in nature with family and friends. Those closest to him say some of his happiest moments were spent around a campfire, on a fishing trip, or sharing stories with those he cared about.
Perhaps one of Travis’s greatest passions was his love for animals. He proudly cared for six beloved pets, including Banjo the snake, Emmy the bearded dragon, Vito the gecko, parakeets Nugget and Snowball, and Luna, a parrot known for her loud and lively personality. His dedication to animals eventually led him to foster reptiles, a role he took immense pride in and eagerly discussed with anyone willing to listen.
Friends remember Travis as someone who could light up any room. He believed strongly in treating people with kindness and often reminded others not to judge a book by its cover, emphasizing that meaningful connections can come from unexpected places.
The Sellstone family has invited relatives, friends, and community members to celebrate Travis’s life at Chapman Funeral Home on July 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. As loved ones gather to honor his memory, they will remember a man whose enthusiasm, generosity, and love for life left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
